Saturday, July 9th, is the opening day for this year’s Bristol Renaissance Faire. The Faire has long been a family favorite and I’ve attended every summer for the last 25 year or so. Bristol has great food, music, entertainment and drinks. If you live in the Midwest, I cannot recommend this event enough. So what’s new this year?

• The Crimson Pirates will play on opening weekend
• A new season of RenQuest
• 9 new merchants
• 10 new artists
• Chalk artist Jessie Helm returns
